About Anori
Anori is an early-stage, venture-backed company building a co-creation platform for the building industry — one project data model with purpose-built surfaces for developers, cities, and (over time) banks and insurers. Our mission is a regenerative built environment: sustainable, attainable building creation for humans and the planet. We’re a small, high-caliber team of AI engineers and domain experts moving fast toward an enterprise-grade product.
Role Overview
Anori is building a co-creation platform for the real estate development industry — a shared data platform with purpose-built surfaces for developers and cities, and banks and insurers to follow. We are moving from early prototypes toward an enterprise-grade product.
We are looking for a dedicated owner of design quality: user research, UI/UX polish, visual and interaction fidelity, and a repeatable design process. You will accelerate our design-to-engineering workflow, stand up a design operating system, and steer the evolution of the developer and city surfaces so quality holds as we scale.
This is an end-to-end role for someone who thrives on high ownership and can switch fluently between multiple hats. You will report to the CTO and work inside our biweekly engineering sprints, alongside GTM/Commercial and our domain experts.
How You Will Make an Impact
- Own Design Quality: Be accountable for the visual and interaction quality of the product — whether Anori's UI is intuitive, polished, and effective for our users.
- Lead Craft on Core Workflows: Drive day-to-day UX/UI for the developer workspace and city compliance surfaces, including high-fidelity design, interaction states, edge cases, and empty states — the detail that makes enterprise software trustworthy.
- Own the Design System: Take ownership of the Figma design system, component library, and DesignOps conventions already established, and evolve them as the product grows.
- Establish Design Process: Set handoff discipline, a working definition of ready, and a design cadence engineering can rely on.
- Work the Design-to-Code Seam: Move fluently from design to shipped product alongside a world-class engineering team. AI-assisted prototyping speeds the loop; implementation is a shared seam with Engineering, not a responsibility you carry alone.
- Inform Product Direction: Talk to users directly, and translate research into user journeys and product definition.
- Design for a Shared Data Platform: Our platform supports interactive workflows across multiple user roles, each with different access patterns, journeys, and KPIs. Design to preserve shared context while enabling each role to hit its goals.
What You Should Have
- Experience: 4–7 years in product / UX design, including at least 2 years in B2B SaaS product design. Exceptional trajectory at 3+ years will be considered.
- Craft Depth: Information architecture, interaction design, high-fidelity Figma, and visual polish.
- User Research: Prior experience conducting user interviews to inform UX requirements.
- Quality Bar: Ability to hold a high fidelity bar and articulate why quality matters in enterprise software.
- Engineering Collaboration: Comfortable working closely with engineers; able to reason about components and front-end.
- Synthesis: Turns messy stakeholder input into clear, buildable design decisions.
- AI-Native Outlook: Experienced working with AI-driven design workflows.
- Autonomy: Thrives in ambiguity and high autonomy; startup or fast-moving-team experience.
- Portfolio: A portfolio submission is required as part of your application.
It'd Be Great If You Also Had
- Lead Experience: You've been the lead UX designer for complex, multi-persona, workflow-based B2B SaaS products.
- System Ownership: You've owned a design system end-to-end and set design process for a team, not just contributed to one.
- Enterprise Complexity: Experience with data-heavy or multi-tiered, multi-persona enterprise UI.
- Code Prototyping: You prototype in code or AI tooling yourself and speed the design-to-code loop.
- Commercial Fluency: You translate user and commercial needs into product direction.
- Domain Exposure: Real estate, construction, govtech, permitting, or geospatial products.
Base salary range is tiered based on location: $150,000 – $250,000 annually, depending on experience, skills, and location. Base salary is one part of total compensation.
Benefits: A competitive salary. Equity. Choice of medical, dental, and vision plans so you can pick what actually fits your life. 401(k) with a 4% match. Unlimited PTO with 2 company closure weeks: one in the summer, and one around the December holidays. 12 weeks fully paid parental leave for biological, adoptive and foster parents — whatever your path to parenthood looks like. And the smaller things that add up: home office setup, a cell phone stipend, and twice-a-year team offsites to reconnect in person.
